Prisoner executed in Kermanshah Central Prison

Last week, the death sentence of Afshin Amiri, a Kurdish prisoner from Kermanshah (Kermashan), was carried out in the central prison of the city. Amiri had previously been arrested on drug-related charges and sentenced to death.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, 32-year-old Afshin Amiri was executed out in Kermanshah Central Prison (Dizelabad) on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
A reliable source stated that Afshin Amiri, a resident of Golestan village in Kermanshah, was arrested six years ago on drug-related charges and was later sentenced to death by the Kermanshah Revolutionary Court.
As of the time of this report, state-affiliated media, particularly those close to the judiciary, have not published any news regarding this execution.
