December Protests: Iranian forces detain at least 10 Lors

At least 10 Lor people, including a 15-year-old child, have been detained by Iranian authorities during the December protests in several cities across Iran and transferred to undisclosed locations. No information is currently available regarding their fate or whereabouts.

Based on information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, those detained include Parsa Akaber, Zahra Izadinia, Abolfazl Habibi, Reza Bakhtiari, Elias Sharifi, Amirreza Omidi, Payam Hezarian, Vahid Rezaei, Moslem Soltani, and Reza Soltani. The detentions took place in Yasuj, Gohardasht in Lordegan County, the Falard area of Lordegan, and Lali in Khuzestan Province.

Parsa Akaber, from Yasuj, was detained by Iranian authorities on Saturday evening, January 3, 2026, and transferred to Yasuj Prison.

Abolfazl Habibi, a 15-year-old child, and Reza Bakhtiari, both from Gohardasht, were detained by Iranian authorities on the same day and taken to undisclosed locations.

Elias Sharifi, 40, from the Falard area of Lordegan and the father of two children, was detained due to protest-related posts on social media and transferred to an undisclosed location. His arrest also took place on Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Zahra Izadinia, a graduate of Yasuj University of Medical Sciences, was detained by Iranian authorities during protests in the city on Friday, January 2, 2026.

Amirreza Omidi, Payam Hezarian, Vahid Rezaei, Moslem Soltani, and Reza Soltani, five Lors from Lali in Khuzestan Province, were detained by Iranian authorities and transferred to Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz on Wednesday evening, January 1, 2026.
