Arrests continue as eight women detained across seven cities

Iranian government forces have detained eight women in Chamestan, Isfahan, Ilam, Divandarreh, Tehran, Mashhad, and Shiraz amid the ongoing crackdown, according to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights. Two of the detainees are Kurdish and two are Mazani.
Elaheh Rahmati, a Kurdish woman from Divandarreh, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Department on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Mahsa Salah was arrested at her home in Shiraz at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026. She informed her family of her detention in a brief phone call the following day but did not disclose her place of detention.
Hadis Almaspour, a Kurdish woman from Ilam, was arrested by government forces on February 9, 2026. No information has since been made available regarding her fate.
Sanaz Shahhosseini was arrested on January 9, 2026, at her residence in the Ekbatan neighborhood of Tehran and transferred to Evin Prison.
Najmeh Amini, a 23-year-old student from Mashhad, was arrested on Saturday, January 31, 2026, near Ferdowsi Market and transferred to Vakilabad Prison.
Roya Rastgar, a 33-year-old resident of Isfahan and a physical education student, was arrested on Sunday, January 11, 2026, when government forces raided her home. More than one month later, her fate and whereabouts remain unknown.
Aida Yazdi, 19, and Sogand Naeiji, 21, two Mazani women from Chamestan in Mazandaran Province, were arrested at 4:00 a.m. on Friday, January 9, 2026, when government forces raided Aida Yazdi’s family home. Their fate and whereabouts remain unknown.
Authorities have not disclosed the charges against these eight women or provided full information regarding their current legal status.
