Baha’i adherent Hamed Mehrabkhani arrested by government forces in Tabriz

Hamed Mehrabkhani, a Baha’i resident of Qazvin, was arrested by Iranian government forces at his sister’s home in Tabriz and transferred to an undisclosed location.
According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Mehrabkhani was detained on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, while visiting his sister in Tabriz.
Informed sources state that government agents searched the home of his sister, Zhaleh Mehrabkhani, and her husband, Bahman Shokouhi, during the arrest. Officers confiscated several electronic devices, including laptops and mobile phones.
No official information has been released regarding the reasons for his arrest or the charges brought against him.
