Iranian authorities have held three members of a Baha’i family, Bahareh Afshar, Arshia Afshar, and Arshad Afshar, in detention for more than two months in Isfahan province. They remain imprisoned in Dolatabad and Dastgerd prisons without a clear legal status.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the three Baha’i residents of Shahin Shahr have been detained for 65 days and remain deprived of access to a fair judicial process, while their fate and legal status remain unclear.

Informed sources reported that security authorities had previously told the family that the three detainees would be temporarily released on bail before February 11. However, that promise was not fulfilled, and repeated efforts by the Afshar family to follow up with judicial and security authorities have so far yielded no results.

Iranian government forces arrested the three on Thursday, January 9, 2026, during a raid on their family home in Shahin Shahr.

Hengaw has learned that Arshad Afshar and Arshia Afshar are being held in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan, while Bahareh Afshar is detained in the women’s ward of Dolatabad Prison. Their continued detention comes amid increased security pressure in recent months on followers of the Baha’i faith in Isfahan province.
