Seven arrested across Kerman, Gilan Province, Karaj, and Lahijan

At least seven individuals have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Kerman, Lasht-Nesha, Khoshkbijar, Langarud, Rasht, Karaj, and Lahijan.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the detainees include including five Gilak residents and one Baha’i adherent. The arrests took place as part of the continuing wave of widespread detentions, and several of the detainees remain in legal limbo.

The details are as follows:

Pouyan Gholami, a Baha’i resident of Kerman, was arrested at his workplace by government forces on February 10, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. Following his arrest, agents searched his home.

Soroush Safari (also known as Safari-Pour), a 31-year-old Gilak resident and player for Shahin Khoshkbijar football club, was arrested on February 5, 2026, during a raid by government forces on his home in the Nusher neighborhood of Khoshkebijar in Gilan Province.

Alireza Mirkhorsandi, a Gilak resident of Langarud and an employee of the city’s Department of Environment, was arrested by government forces at his workplace on February 2, 2026.

Yazdan Hashemi Khoshkbijari, a 27-year-old Gilak resident of Khoshkebijar, was arrested on February 1, 2026, after being summoned by telephone by IRGC authorities in Lasht-e Nesha. After appearing at the security office, he was detained and transferred to Lakan Prison in Rasht.

Milad Didar, a 27-year-old Gilak resident of Rasht, was arrested during protests in the city on January 12, 2026. According to sources, he was subjected to torture and forced to give a coerced confession before being transferred to Lakan Prison. He faces charges described as “leading the protests,” raising serious concerns about his fate.

Davoud Abbasi, a 40-year-old filmmaker, was violently arrested by government forces in Karaj on January 10, 2026, and transferred to Ghezel Hesar Prison. He faces security-related charges and, despite being injured at the time of arrest, has reportedly been denied adequate medical care.

Sajad Khabazi, a 33-year-old Gilak resident of Lahijan, married and the father of one child, was arrested by government forces in Lahijan and transferred to Tehran. Informed sources report that he has been subjected to severe physical and psychological torture. In one instance, interrogators staged a mock execution and ordered him to prepare a will, intensifying concerns about his treatment in detention.
