Iran arrests eleven Kurds, one at risk of execution

At least eleven Kurds have been arrested by Iranian government forces in recent days across multiple cities, including Dehgolan (Divan), Kermanshah (Kermashan), Oshnavieh (Shno), Sanandaj (Sine), Ilam, Dehloran, Kangavar, Bijar, Shirvan, and Bojnord. The fate of many of those arrested remains unknown. One detainee from Shirvan is facing a serious risk of execution.
According to information received by Hengaw, the arrests are part of the ongoing wave of widespread detentions. Details of the arrests by location are as follows.
Kermanshah Province
Nima Raziani, a Kurdish resident of the Maskan neighborhood in Kermanshah (Kermashan), was arrested by Iranian government forces in the Pardis district. His arrest took place on Thursday, January 29, 2026. He had previously lost the sight in one eye after being shot with pellet ammunition by government forces during protests on the evening of January 8, 2026.
Mansour Azizi, a Kurdish resident of Kangavar, was arrested by IRGC Intelligence forces on January 9, 2026. No information has been released regarding his fate or place of detention. He is the primary caregiver for his elderly parents and four brothers with disabilities and chronic illnesses.
Kamiyaran, Sanandaj, Bijar, and Dehgolan
Omid Amani, a 30-year-old Kurdish man from Pirmaghar, a village in Kamiyaran County, was arrested in Tehran’s Kan neighborhood on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. No information has been made available regarding the charges against him or his place of detention.
Behzad Qavami, a Kurdish teacher from Sanandaj (Sine), was arrested by Intelligence Ministry forces on Sunday, January 11, 2026. His fate and place of detention remain unknown.
Mohammadreza Nosrati, a 35-year-old Kurdish man from Bijar, was arrested by Iranian government forces on Friday, January 9, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Yasin Fathi, a Kurdish resident of Dehgolan (Divan), was arrested by Iranian government forces in mid-January 2026 and transferred to an undisclosed location.
Ilam Province
Fariborz Sadeqi, a resident of Ilam, was arrested at his shop in the city on January 10, 2026. No information has been released regarding his fate or place of detention.
Ahmad Sheikhi, a Kurdish employee of the Dehloran Water Department in Ilam Province, was arrested following a violent raid by Iranian government forces on January 3, 2026. He had previously been arrested in July 2025 and was released after one month of torture on bail of five billion tomans. He was re-arrested while serving a prison sentence under electronic monitoring. No information has been released regarding his current condition.
Oshnavieh
Bahman Rasoulian, a resident of Oshnavieh, was arrested in early January 2026. During his detention, he was denied access to legal counsel and family visits. He was transferred from Urmia to Oshnavieh Prison on Tuesday, January 26, 2026.
North Khorasan Province
Abbas Keyhani, an 18-year-old from Bojnord, was arrested in late January 2026. No information has been made available regarding his condition or place of detention.
Masoud Babaei, a Kurdish resident of Shirvan, was arrested during protests in January 2026 and is facing a serious risk of execution following case fabrication by security authorities. He is the owner of a coffee shop and has been accused of leading protests.
