Saman Ebrahimi and Ali Shahbazi executed on murder charges in Kermanshah Central Prison

Iranian authorities have executed two Kurdish prisoners from Kermanshah (Kermashan), identified as Saman Ebrahimi (Nazi Sarvnovi) and Ali Shahbazi, in Kermanshah Central Prison, also known as Dizel Abad Prison. Both men had previously been sentenced to death in separate cases on charges of premeditated murder.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the executions were carried out at dawn on Monday, May 25, 2026. Ebrahimi was 32 years old and Shahbazi was 27.
Hengaw has learned that both men were natives of Kermanshah and had each received death sentences in separate judicial cases involving charges of “premeditated murder.”
Iranian judicial authorities and state-affiliated media have not officially announced the executions.
