Mohammad Ahmadi executed in Sanandaj Central Prison

Mohammad Ahmadi, a Kurdish prisoner from Sanandaj, was executed in Sanandaj Central Prison. He had previously been sentenced to death on a charge of “premeditated murder.”

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of Mohammad Ahmadi, a resident of Sanandaj, was carried out in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Sanandaj Central Prison.

Sources told Hengaw that Mohammad Ahmadi was arrested by law enforcement forces three years ago on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Criminal Court of Sanandaj.

Iranian state media and official sources affiliated with the Judiciary have not announced the execution of Mohammad Ahmadi.
