Iranian authorities execute Khosrow Ahadi and Khalil Panahi in separate cases

Iranian authorities have executed two prisoners after they were convicted in separate cases of "premeditated murder." The executions were carried out in Kermanshah (Kermashan) and Semnan prisons.

According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Khosrow Ahadi, a 27-year-old Kurdish man from Kermanshah, was executed in the early hours of Sunday, June 21, 2026, at Kermanshah Central Prison.

Informed sources told Hengaw that Ahadi had been arrested approximately three years earlier on charges of "premeditated murder" and was later sentenced to death.

Authorities also carried out the execution of Khalil Panahi, a 58-year-old resident of Semnan, on the same day after he was convicted of "premeditated murder." Panahi had been arrested approximately three years earlier on the same charge and was later sentenced to death.

Neither execution had been announced by Iranian state media or the Judiciary's official media outlets .
