Azar Yahu sentenced to three years in prison over comment on Netanyahu’s social media page

Branch 4 of the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad has sentenced Azar Yahu, a 39-year-old woman held in Vakilabad Prison, to three years in prison, with one year to be served and two years suspended.
According to information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Yahu was charged with “cooperation with Israel” solely over a comment she posted on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s social media page.
IRGC Intelligence forces arrested Yahu in Mashhad on March 4, 2026, and subsequently transferred her to Vakilabad Prison.
