Hengaw : Simko Maarufi , Kurdish civil and environmental activist from Bukan  who had previously been sentenced to 2 years in prison and was released on parole, has been arrested by Iranian security forces.

According to a report received by  Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on Saturday, March 6, 2021, Iranian  Intelligence forces in Bukan arrested Simko, Maarufi , a civil and environmental activist, and transferred him to an unknown location.

According to an informed source, four days after the arrest of this civil activist, there is no news about his fate and the efforts of his family in this regard have been fruitless .

Simko Maarufi was arrested on October 14 , 2019 , along with three other activists, Shaho Khezri, Hemin Feizi, and his wife, Jaka Ismailpour, and was released from prison two weeks later.

This activist was finally arrested on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 , and sentenced to 2 years in prison by second Branch of the city's criminal court on charges of "disturbing public order" by participating in protest rallies in the city to condemn Turkish military operations in Syrian Kurdistan .

It is worth mentioning that Simko  Maarufi was arrested on Monday, February 2, 2020  to serve his sentence and was released on parole in December of 2020.
