Twelve Baloch women killed and injured by Iranian military forces

Following a raid by Iranian military and security forces on Gonich village in Khash County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, a Baloch woman named Khan-Bibi Bamari was killed by direct gunfire, and 11 other women — including two girls under 18 — were injured.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, IRGC military and intelligence forces attacked Gonich village. Khan-Bibi Bamari, a 40-year-old Baloch woman, was killed by direct fire. Eleven other women were injured, with two reported in critical condition. One pregnant woman, Reyhaneh Bamari, suffered a miscarriage as a result of beatings and shotgun pellet injuries.

According to the Halvash news network, the attack began at 5 a.m. and targeted Gonich village. Lali Bamari (40) and Asra Bamari (18) sustained severe gunshot wounds and are currently in critical condition in the intensive care unit at Khomeini Hospital in Khash. Reyhaneh Bamari (21), who was pregnant, lost her child due to severe physical assault and shotgun injuries inflicted by security forces.

Identities of the injured women: Madineh Bamari, 24; Saba Bamari, 17; Asra Bamari, 18; Rahm-Bibi Bamari, 32; Sanj-Malek Bamari, 45; Asal Bamari, 20; Mohaddeseh Bamari, 16; Mahtab Bamari, 50; Fatemeh Bamari, 26; Lali Bamari, 40; and Reyhaneh Bamari, 21.


Videos circulating on social media show Iranian military and security forces indiscriminately and unlawfully using live ammunition and plastic shotgun pellets against Baloch women.

The assault lasted from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., reportedly aimed at arresting “armed anti-government elements.” During this time, all entry and exit points to the village were completely surrounded by dozens of military vehicles. However, local residents stated that no armed individuals were present in the village.
