Hengaw – Tuesday, July 1, 2025

Four individuals, including a licensed defense attorney, remain in detention following their recent arrests by Iranian security forces in the cities of Behbahan, Ahvaz, and Sabzevar.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Milad Faghfoori, a 37-year-old Lor man from Behbahan, was arrested at 4 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, when agents of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Intelligence raided his family home. He was taken to an undisclosed location, and as of four days later, there is still no information regarding his whereabouts or condition.

In a separate case, Sajjad Poursakhavat, a resident of Sabzevar in Razavi Khorasan Province, was arrested on Tuesday, June 24 by agents of the Ministry of Intelligence. He was transferred to the Intelligence Detention Center in Sabzevar. Poursakhavat has previously been detained by security forces on similar grounds.

Meanwhile, Ebrahim Parsamehr, a licensed attorney based in Ahvaz, continues to be held without charge at Sheiban Prison, more than two weeks after his arrest. He was detained on Saturday, June 14, 2025, during a violent raid on his home by IRGC Intelligence agents. The agents also conducted a full search of his residence during the operation.

Sources familiar with the situation report that Parsamehr’s arrest is linked to a social media post he published about the ongoing war between Iran and Israel. He is known for representing Christian converts in legal proceedings.

Additionally, Mohsen Taran, another resident of Sabzevar, was arrested by security forces on Friday, June 13, 2025. He was held for several days for interrogation and later transferred to Sabzevar Prison.

All four detainees remain in custody with no formal charges filed.
