Six members of a family from Dehloran, Ilam, were detained by Iranian government forces; in addition to being tortured at the detention centers, these citizens also received harsh sentences from the judiciary.
The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights obtained information that during the popular uprising in Dehloran, Iranian government forces detained the Bigpour brothers Amir Mohammad, Alireza, and Mahmood Reza, their two sisters Fatemeh and Golnaz Bigpour, as well as Fatemeh's husband Ehsan Bigpour.
On December 22, 2022, Ehsan Bigpour was detained by Iranian government forces and taken to Ilam prison. Additionally, government forces detained Mahmood Reza Bigpour, 37, on Monday, December 12, and his brother Alireza Bigpour, was detained on Thursday, December 8. These two brothers were reportedly tortured and interrogated in the detention centers before being moved to the central prison of Ilam, according to reliable sources.
Amir Mohammad Bigpour, a 17-year-old member of this family, was arrested on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, and then, after a few weeks, he was temporarily released on bail.
Two other family members, Fatemeh and Golnaz Bigpour, were detained on September 21, 2022, and after being released on parole after a month in custody, the Islamic Revolutionary Court in Dehloran sentenced each of them to five years in prison.
