The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners named Kamel Dudkanlu and Seyyed Farhad Hosseini, who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes and premeditated murder, were executed in Salmas Central Prison.

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, January 19, 2023, two Kurdish citizens from Salmas, named Kamel Dudkanlu and Seyed Farhad Hosseini, were executed in the central prison of this city.

Hengaw has been informed that Kamel Dudkanlu from Qaban Tepe village was arrested and sentenced to death eight years ago on charges of drug-related crimes.

Also, Seyyed Farhad Hosseini, from the village of Tamarabad, near Salams, was arrested three years ago on the charge of premeditated murder by the Iranian government forces and later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

Until the time of preparation of this report, the news of the execution of these two Kurdish prisoners had not been announced in the government media or the media affiliated with the Iranian judiciary.
