Three Bukan city residents, Saman Esmaeili, Amir Moradi, and Amin Khalendi, were detained and taken to this city's prison to serve their prison terms.
Saman Esmaeili from Uch Tappeh in Bukan and Amir Moradi from Mirabad in the same city were summoned to court on Tuesday, January 25, 2023, held there, and then brought to prison for the enforcement of their prison sentences, according to the report that Hengaw Organization for Human Rights received.
Previously, Amin Khalendi, also from Mirabad village, was arrested and sent to prison on Saturday, January 21, 2023, after being summoned by the court in Bukan. He is married and the father of one child.
Saman Esmaeili, Amir Moradi, and Amin Khalendi were arrested during the popular protests and strikes in Bukan city and then released on bail until the execution of the sentence.
According to the verdict of the Bukan Criminal Court, Saman Ismaeili has been sentenced to 6 months in prison and 30 lashes for the charges of "supporting Kurdistan's political parties" and "disturbing public order."
This court sentenced 24-year-old Amir Moradi to 3 months in prison for the charge of "disturbance of public order." He was also tortured during his detention and interrogation.
Also, Amin Khalendi was sentenced to 6 months in prison and 30 lashes by the Bukan Criminal Court for what was reported as "encouraging participation in strikes," and this sentence was officially communicated to him.
It should be noted that these three citizens were denied access to a lawyer during their detention and court sessions.
