Farshad Ahmadi, a Kurdish musician from Dehloran who had been previously sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment and 5 years of suspended prison by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran, was arrested and transferred to Evin prison to serve the prison sentence.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on January 16, 2023, Farshad Ahmadi, a resident of Dehloran, was transferred to Tehran's Evin prison following his arrest by the execution court.
Earlier, this citizen was sentenced to 2 years of imprisonment and 5 years of suspended prison by the 15th branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court of Tehran, headed by Judge Salvati, known as the "Judge of Death," for the charge of "gathering and collusion against national security."
He was deprived of basic rights, such as access to a lawyer and basic prison facilities, during his arrest and imprisonment.
Farshad Ahmadi was arrested in Tehran in May 2022 and spent 31 days in solitary confinement in Evin prison. In 2018, he was also arrested by the Iranian government forces and transferred to the fifth security ward of Ahvaz prison.
