Two Kurdish citizens from Bukan, named Hasan Qesmati and Diyar Khorshidi, who were arrested during the recent popular uprising and resistance, were sentenced to imprisonment and flogging by the Iranian Criminal Court in Bukan.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in recent days, Branch 101 of the Iranian Criminal Court in Bukan, in connection with the protests and popular uprising of this city, sentenced Hasan Qesmati to 6 months in prison and 30 lashes and Diyar Khorshidi to 4 months in prison.
On Monday, November 21, 2023, Diyar Khorshidi, a resident of the "Andiseh" neighborhood in Bukan, was arrested by the Iranian government forces, and after 3 days of questioning, he was temporarily released on a bail of 100 million tomans (2,200 USD) until the end of the proceedings.
Currently, he has been transferred to Bukan Central Prison to execute his sentence.
Also, on Monday, September 19, 2023, Hasan Qesmati was arrested by the Iranian government forces, and after 10 days of interrogation, he was temporarily released with a bail of 100 million tomans (about 2,200 USD) until the end of the proceedings.
