Even though he is still a minor, Kianoush Azami, a 17-year-old student from Javanrud, was detained and subjected to torture during the demonstrations and uprisings in Javanrud. In addition, he received a punishment of 74 lashes and 10 months in prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, this teenager was recently sentenced to 10 months in prison and 74 lashes by Branch 102 of the 2nd Criminal Court of Javanrood for the charge of "disturbing public order and peace."
It should be mentioned that Kianoush Azami was kidnapped by the government forces during the recent public protests in Javanroud on Sunday, October 30, 2022.
According to informed sources, Kianoush Azami has been subjected to physical and mental torture in the detention centers of government institutions for 14 days. He was then released on one billion tomans' bail until the end of the proceedings.
