Adil Nadimi, a Kurdish citizen from Kamiyaran, a civil engineering graduate, and one of the Kurdish citizens arrested in Tehran, was sentenced to 2 years in prison and 20 lashes by the Iranian judiciary.

According to the report received by The Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Adil Nadimi, from Kamiyaran, was sentenced to two years in prison and 20 lashes by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Tehran, headed by Saeed Jamali, for the charges of "insulting the religious authority (Velayat-e-Faqih)" and "words contrary to the laws of the system."

According to an informed source, this sentence was announced to this citizen on February 22, 2023, and he was given a 20-day deadline to appeal.

According to the source, Adil Nadimi has been acquitted of the charge of setting fire to the mosque of the Relief Committee (Komiteh Emdad) on Mojdeh Street in Tehran.

This citizen was subjected to severe physical and mental torture during his detention in the detention center of the Iranian Intelligence and was denied the right to access a lawyer and visit his family members.

Adil Nadimi was arrested on Sunday, January 8, 2023, on Mojdeh Street near Qods Square in Tehran. After being interrogated with torture for a while, he was transferred to Fashafoyeh prison and is still imprisoned in this prison.
