According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, March 5, 2023, the death sentence of Kayumars Zarghami, a citizen from Saqqez, was executed in the central prison of this city.
Kayumars Zarghami was arrested in the summer of 2022 on the charge of murdering his fiancée and was later sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.
The burned body of Gulala Sheikhi was discovered on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, a few days after her disappearance on the road from Saqqez to Sanandaj. Kiyomars Zarghami was on the run after the murder of his fiancee and was arrested in Astara.
