Fatemah Maghsoodi, a 67-year-old from Sanandaj, has been taken into custody while in a sit-in protest in front of the intelligence office of the IRGC of Urmia, inquiring about the custodial status of her son.

According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, Fatemah Maghsoodi, known as "Dayeh Fatemah," mother of Idris Faghihi, was detained on May 9th, 2023, by IRGC officials after a 3-day sit-in protest.

A close source to Maqsoodi's family revealed that her arrest was made under the orders of the Urmia prosecutor, based on a complaint lodged by the Urmia Intelligence Office of the IRGC.

Four days prior to her arrest, Mrs. Maqsoodi had visited government agencies in Urmia, including the revolutionary court, the central intelligence, and the information center of the intelligence agency of Urmia, demanding information regarding the custodial status of her son.

Idris Faqihi, 36 years old and a member of the Kurdistan Liberation Army (PJAK), went missing in July 2021 after a clash between PJAK forces and IRGC forces in the village of Alamabad in Bukan County. Initially, the PJAK party issued a statement confirming the deaths of Idris and another party member during the confrontation. However, after a few months, it was revealed that Idris Faqihi was alive and had been apprehended by government forces.

Despite extensive investigations conducted by the Hengaw into Idris Faqihi's disappearance, no conclusive statement has been made thus far regarding his status, including whether he is alive.
