Enayatullah Naimi, the former director of the Baha'i community who was recently arrested after his court hearing, has been sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison, a fine, and social exclusion.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Enayatullah Naimi, a Baha'i citizen, was sentenced to ten years in prison by the first branch of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Isfahan on the charge of "forming a gang or crowd to disrupt the security of the country" and five years in prison on the charge of "propaganda against the regime".
According to the verdict of this court, Mr. Naimi has been sentenced to pay a fine of 50 million tomans (1000 USD) and fifteen years of social exclusion as additional punishments.
According to the Consolidation of Sentences Law, the harshest sentence, i.e., 10 years of imprisonment, will apply to this Baha'i citizen from Isfahan.
Enayatullah Naimi, a Baha'i citizen, was arrested by the Iranian government forces immediately after holding a hearing in the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Isfahan on Saturday, May 6, 2023, and was taken to the prison of this city.
He was arrested by the Iranian government forces on September 23, 2022, after a complete search of his house and confiscation of personal belongings. Finally, he was released from Isfahan prison after posting bail.
