Athlete Parham Parvari from Saqqez, who was violently arrested during the "Jin, Jiyan, Azadî" movement, was sentenced to fifteen years imprisonment and exile in Jask by the Tehran Revolutionary Court.

According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, recently the 28th branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by judge "Amu Zade" sentenced Engineer Parham Parvari to ten years imprisonment in exile in Jask on charges of "Muharrebe" (enmity against god) and five years imprisonment on charges of "Attempts against public security".

This verdict was officially handed to Parham Parvari's family on June 20, 2023.
His court hearing took place on Sunday, May 28, 2023, despite the fact that his court appearance was postponed twice.


In a previous article, Hengaw highlighted Parham Parvari's extraordinary weight loss of 20 kg and wrote: "During the 230 days of Parham Parvari's imprisonment, he had just one brief meeting with his family and lawyer."


This engineer along with 20 other political prisoners without prior notice, was transferred to Evin Prison from Great Tehran Penitentiary.

On October 3, 2022, Parham Parvari was violently detained by government forces while returning from work in the middle of widespread protests in Tehran.
