The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner from Harsin was executed in Karaj prison

The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner from Harsin named Farshad Abdoli, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, was executed in Karaj Central Prison. At the same time, three other prisoners were returned to the general prison.
 
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, the death sentence of Farshad Abdoli, 30, from Harsin, Kermanshah, was executed in Karaj Central Prison.
 
According to an informed source, Farshad Abdoli was arrested in 2019 and transferred to Karaj Central Prison. After a while, he was sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of drug-related crimes.

Along with two other prisoners who were sentenced to death, Manouchehr Barzegar from Harsin was sent back to the general prison. These prisoners accused of drug-related crimes were transferred to solitary confinement on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
 
As of the time of this reporting, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the government media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.

Based on the data registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, during the month of June, at least 52 prisoners were executed in the prisons of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
