Jalal Fatemi, a lawyer, a member of the Central Bar Association, and a former lecturer at Payame Noor University, has been sentenced to one year in prison by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Jalal Fatemi, a lawyer residing in Tehran, has been sentenced to one year in prison by Branch 29 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, under the authority of Seyed Ali Mazloum, for the charge of "propaganda activity against the regime on social media."
 

According to a reliable source, Jalal Fatemi's final court session was held on July 10, 2023, at the Revolutionary Court. However, on the 18th of the same month, he was granted permission to access the prison sentence without formal notification.
 

In May of this year, the lawyer in question was summoned by Branch 7 of the Evin Prosecutor's Office (Security Crimes). Subsequently, after the issuance of the summons, he was arrested in the same branch. Finally, he was temporarily released by posting a bail of 6 billion tomans pending the conclusion of the court proceedings.
 

Since the inception of the Women, Life, and Freedom movement, the pressure on lawyers from the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran has doubled. Many of them have been summoned and arrested, and some have faced court orders.
