The death sentence of a Kurdish prisoner carried out in Hamadan Central Prison

The death sentence of Afshin Rahimihedayat, a Kurdish citizen from Kangavar, Kermanshah province, who was previously sentenced to death for drug-related charges, has been carried in Hamedan Central Prison.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Thursday, 10 August 2023, the death sentence of 30-year-old Afshin Rahimihedayat, from Kangavar City, was carried out in Hamadan Central Prison.
According to Hengaw’s sources, Afshin Rahimihedayat was arrested four years ago for drug-related charges and then sentenced to death by the Iranian Judiciary.
Yesterday, Wednesday, August 9, Hengaw reported the execution of two other Kurdish prisoners, Manouchehr Khazaei, from Kangavar City, and Ahad Hashemi, from Harsin City, in Hamadan Central Prison. These two prisoners were also sentenced to death for drug-related charges.
So far, the news of Afshin Rahimihedayati's execution has not been announced in the Iranian state media and the media affiliated with the judiciary.
