Jamaluddin Khanjani, one of the former members of the Baha'i Spiritual Assembly of Iran, along with his daughter, Maria Khanjani, were arrested by the government authorities in Tehran.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on Sunday, August 13, 2023, a Baha'i father, Jamaluddin Khanjani, and his daughter, Maria Khanjani, both residents of Tehran, were arrested by government security institutions.
According to a creditable source, the government forces raided the family residence and arrested the father and his daughter without providing any legal documents. They were transferred to Evin Prison.
the charges against these two Baha'i citizens, as well as their conditions, are not available.
It should be mentioned that Jamaluddin Khanjani has been prosecuted before by the court of the Islamic Republic of Iran due to his activities.
