Khadijeh Mehdipour, a former Kurdish political prisoner hailing from Eyvan County in Ilam Province, was apprehended and subsequently transferred to Ilam Prison to serve her prison sentence.
 

According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization For Human Rights, On Saturday, August 19, 2023, Khadijeh Mehdipour, a resident of Eyvan, was apprehended and subsequently transferred to Ilam Prison to serve a three-month discretionary custodial sentence.
 

In early May 2023, this former Kurdish political prisoner received a three-month prison sentence from the 103rd Criminal Branch of the General and Revolutionary court in Ilam, on the charge of "spreading falsehoods."
 

Khadijeh Mehdipour was released from the central prison of Ilam on Sunday, February 12, 2023, without prior notice and against her will, while she was in the midst of serving her 20-month sentence. She then returned home.
 

This former political prisoner was apprehended by Iranian government forces in Ilam at her uncle's residence on Sunday, October 10, 2021, and subsequently transferred to the central prison of Ilam.
 

On October 3, 2020, she was taken into custody by the security forces due to her activities on social media. Subsequently, the Revolutionary Court of Ilam sentenced her to pay a fine of three million tomans, in lieu of imprisonment.
