Omid Fallahi, a young Kurdish man from the city of Marivan who had previously been detained for a while, has been sentenced to three months of imprisonment by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to reports received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, recently, Omid Fallahi, a 20-year-old resident of Marivan, was sentenced to three months of imprisonment by the First Branch of the Marivan Revolutionary Court.
As per an informed source, this three-month penal sentence against Omid Fallahi has been suspended for a period of two years.
Omid Fallahi was detained on Monday, April 21, 2023, by a group of government forces who brutally assaulted and subjected him to severe violence and physical abuse at his family residence in Marivan.
This 20-year-old individual was eventually released from Marivan Prison on bail, pending the conclusion of legal proceedings, after posting a substantial bail.
