Execution of Two inmates in Shiraz Central Prison implemented

The death sentences of two prisoners by the names Ramazan Yavari and Mazhar Sanjerani previously convicted of drug trafficking and sentenced to death were carried out in Shiraz Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Tuesday, September 19th, 2023, the death sentences of Ramazan Yavari and Mazhar Sanjerani, two inmates from Khorrambid in Fars Province, were executed in Shiraz Central Prison known as “Adelabad”.
Ramazan Yavari and Mazhar Sanjerani were detained three years ago in a joint case related to drug trafficking charges and were later sentenced to death by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The execution of these prisoners has not been officially announced in government-affiliated media, especially in media outlets close to the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as of the time of this report.
