In recent days, the death penalty for at least three inmates, identified as Heydar Salkhord, Shahab Sadeghzadeh, and Mansour Taqvaei, previously sentenced to death for drug trafficking and homicide, has been carried out at Shiraz Central Prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw organization for Human Rights, on Monday, October 30, 2023, the death sentences of two inmates, Shahab Sadeghzadeh, 31 years old, and Mansour Taqvaei, 35 years old, both residents of Arsenjan, previously sentenced to death for drug trafficking offenses, involving the possession of 85 kilograms of Chrystals and heroin, were executed within the premises of Shiraz Central Prison.
These two inmates had been arrested two years ago and were subsequently sentenced to death by the judicial authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in a joint case.
Simultaneously, the death sentence for an inmate named Heydar Salkhord, a resident of Shiraz, who had been detained three years ago on charges of homicide and was sentenced to death, was also carried out at Shiraz Central Prison.
As of the time of this reporting, the news of the execution of these three inmates has not been officially announced in government-controlled media, especially those close to the judiciary.
