Nine individuals practicing the Baha'i faith in Hamedan, specifically Zarin Ahadzadeh, Farida Ayoubi, Nora Ayoubi, Naim Aghdasi, Neda Mohebi, Zhaleh Rezaei, Zhinous Shadabi, Atefeh Zahedi, and Masoud Azarnoush, have been apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran. They were subsequently taken to an undisclosed location.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the arrest of Zarin Ahadzadeh, Farida Ayubi, Nora Ayubi, Naim Aghdasi, Neda Mohebi, Zhaleh Rezaei, Zhinous Shadabi, Atefeh Zahedi, and Masoud Azarnoush, all adherents of the Baha'i faith, took place in the city of Hamadan.
Informed sources indicate that the arrest of these nine Baha'i individuals was carried out with intimidation and violence by security agents, who also conducted thorough searches of their homes.
Furthermore, personal belongings such as mobile phones, computers, and personal documents were confiscated during the search of these individuals' residences by the security officials.
