Hengaw has authenticated the identities of two additional prisoners executed at Ilam Central Prison: Ali Agha Mohammadi and Naser Maghsoudi. Simultaneously, Shahram Mohammad Beigi, the individual who held the third position in Asia for cross-country running, faced execution. These individuals had previously received death sentences on charges of "Premeditated Murder."
According to reports obtained by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution of 47-year-old Ali Agha Mohammadi from Malekshahi, Ilam, took place in the central prison of Ilam city. An informed source revealed that Mohammadi was apprehended last year for the alleged murder of his wife, leading to a death sentence by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Additionally, the death sentence of Naser Maghsoudi, a prisoner from Darreh Shahr, Ilam province, was executed at Ilam Central Prison. Maghsoudi, arrested three years ago on murder charges, received a death sentence.
Simultaneous with these two executions, Shahram Mohammad Beigi, a 38-year-old Ilam resident and two-time Iranian cross-country running champion, faced execution at Ilam Central Prison. Three years prior, he was arrested and sentenced to death for the murder of his friend, Mojtaba Piri.
This athlete, who also faced arrest during the October 2019 protests, resulting in his expulsion from the university, achieved the third place in the Asian cross-country running championship in 2024, securing a gold medal in Iran's youth age group competition.
Notably, the news of the execution of these three individuals has not been disclosed in government-affiliated media, particularly those closely associated with the judiciary, up to the time of writing this report.
