Osman Dadwand, a Kurdish resident of Piranshahr City, has been arrested and transported to prison to serve a three-year sentence of penal incarceration.

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights on Saturday, January 13, 2024, Osman Dadwand, 45 years old, from Badin Abad village of Piranshahr, was arrested and taken to Naghadeh central prison following a summons by the 1st branch of the sentence executions of Piranshahr court.

Previously, he was sentenced to three years of penal incarceration by the 102 branch of the criminal court of Piranshahr, presided over by Judge Reza Ghahremani Sa'atlou.

Osman Dadwand had been taken into custody in May 2022. He was temporarily released on bail amounting to one billion Iranian tomans, pending the conclusion of his trial.
