Hengaw: A Kurdish civic activist from Baneh was sentenced to imprisonment by the judiciary of the Islamic Republic of Iran. 
 
According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Huoshyar Shabani, 27, acivic activist from Baneh, was sentenced to one year in prison by Saqez Revolutionary Court branch in Baneh, headed by Judge Akbar Mirzaei, which was reduced to eight months. . 
 
The sentence was issued on charges of propaganda activities in favor of opposition groups in cyberspace, and he was acquitted of "membership and cooperation with the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP)." 
 
According to the sentence, the days of previous detention are considered to be two months, and the remaining 6 months of the sentence have been suspended for 5 years. Then he must report himself to the Baneh Intelligence Office once a month or every three months. 
 
Huoshyar Shabani, a civic activist in Baneh, was arrested by the Baneh Intelligence Service on Sunday, August 29, 2021, and was released on a 270 million Tomans bail on Sunday, November 14, after 75 days in detention, temporarily released from Baneh Intelligence Detention Center, until the end of proceeding. 
 
Hengaw had previously reported that  Huoshyar Shabani had suffered stomach bleeding and internal bleeding three times as a result of torture during his detention in the Baneh Intelligence Office detention center and had been transferred to Baneh Salahuddin Ayoubi Hospital. He was treated twice under a pseudonym in a completely secure environment. 
 
It is worth mentioning that Huoshyar Shabani was deprived of the right to access a lawyer and family visit during his detention.
