Sahar Kazemi was released from prison at the end of her sentence

Hengaw: Sahar Kazemi, a civil and environmental activist from Sanandaj, was released from prison after completing her sentence.

According to a report by  Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Sahar Kazemi was released from Sanandaj Central Prison on Thursday, March 12 after completing her twenty_month sentence.

Sahar Kazemi was arrested by the Intelligence Service of Sanandaj on Thursday, August 5th, 2009 and sentenced to six years imprisonment by the Revolutionary Court in this city on the charge of "propaganda against the regime" through cooperation with Kurdish opposition parties.

The jail sentence of this civil activist was reduced to 6 months imprisonment by the provincial appeals court on last March.
