Sahar Kazemi was sentenced to five years in prison

Hengaw: Sahar Kazemi, a civil and environmental activist from Sanandaj, was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment.

Sahar Kazemi, a civil and environmental activist residing in Sanandaj, was sentenced to 5 years in prison by the Revolutionary Court of the city on charges of "propaganda against the regime" through cooperation with the Kurdish opposition parties.

Sahar Kazemi was arrested on Thursday, August 9, 2018, by intelligence forces of Sanandaj.

”When Sahar Kazemi objected to the verdict, the verdict was referred to the Provincial Appeal Court.” an informed source told to Hengaw.

Madeh Fathi, Sahar Kazemi's husband, was released February 14, on bail until the trial.
