 Hengaw: A Kurdish political prisoner from Urmia of Iranian Kurdistan who was sentenced to death by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Court in Urmia during  summer 2020 has  been again sentenced to death by a criminal court on charges of murdering  a member of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards.

 According to a report received by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Shakir Behroozi, a political prisoner from Urmia who is currently being held in Urmia Central Prison, has been sentenced to death by first Branch of the Urmia Criminal Court on charges of murdering a member of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards.
 The trial of this political prisoner was held on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, and today, Saturday, December 26, this sentence was officially announced to him.
 Shakir  Behroozi was sentenced to death while he was already sentenced to death in September 2020 by the Second Branch of the Urmia Revolutionary Court, headed by Judge Sheikhlou, on charges of "Felony" and "membership in the Komala Party."  The sentence was issued on charges of membership in Komala, while Shakir Behroozi was previously a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran and returned to Iranian Kurdistan after leaving the party.

 Shakir Behroozi , from Dizaj village in Margawar region of Urmia , was also sentenced to five  years in prison in another case by the Second Branch of the Iranian Islamic  Revolutionary Court in Urmia , headed by Judge Sheikhlu.

 According to an informed source, the sentence was issued on charges of membership in the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran, and Mr. Behroozi was denied the right to access a lawyer during his detention.

 Shakir Behroozi, who was a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran for  Seven months, returned to Iranian Kurdistan after separating from the party and was arrested by Iranin Intelligence Service in Urmia on Tuesday , March 12 , 2019.

 Shaker (Farhad) Behroozi was transferred to Urmia Central Prison for a few days in April 2019 , then to solitary confinement in the Intelligence Services Office, and finally returned to Urmia Prison in March 2020 .

 A relative of Mr. Behroozi had previously told Hengaw that Shakir had been tortured in solitary confinement for a year and Nine days to confess to the assassination of a Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards member named Mamal Mohammadi.

 Mamel Mohammadi, a member of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guards, was killed by unidentified gunmen in Margawar region of ​​Urmia on Tuesday ,March 13, 2018 . Later the “ Hawks of Zagros “ a branch of Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran took responsibility for his assassination.

 Shakir Behrooz was sentenced to death for the murder of a member of the Revolutionary Guards while he was in Iraqi Kurdistan Region at the time of the crime . Twelve citizens from the village of Dizaj confirmed this to the court as well .  But Mohammadi’s has been forced by the Iranian security services to file a complaint against Shakir Behroozi despite their will for following the case .
