Nine arrested amid ongoing detention wave across Iran

At least nine individuals, including two Baloch and one Gilak, have been arrested by Iranian government forces in the cities of Zahedan, Saravan, Fuladshahr, Kashan, Tehran, Karaj, Ahvaz, and Mashhad.

Hengaw Organization for Human Rights has received information indicating that the arrests form part of the continuing wave of detentions and the ongoing lack of clarity regarding detainees’ fate and legal status.

Zahedan and Saravan

Saeed Barahoui, a Baloch Muay Thai coach at a martial arts club in the Karimabad area of Zahedan, was violently arrested on Tuesday evening, February 10, 2026, during a raid by agents of the Intelligence Office on the club. He was transferred to an undisclosed location.

Meysam Dehvari, 27, a Baloch man and a retired service worker at Razi Hospital in Saravan, was arrested by Intelligence Office agents in Saravan on Friday, February 6, 2026, and taken to an undisclosed location.

Fuladshahr and Kashan

Parsa Limouchi, 19, from Fooladshahr in Isfahan Province, was arrested on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and transferred to an undisclosed location. Authorities have not disclosed the reasons for his arrest, his place of detention, or any charges against him.

Mohammad Hossein Mirzaei, 48, a Gilak resident of Noushabad in Isfahan Province and father of two, was arrested during the recent protests in Kashan on Friday, January 9, 2026. Weeks after his detention, no information has been made available regarding his whereabouts or legal status. Mirzaei owned a bakery, which has since been managed by his wife.

Tehran and Karaj

Mohammadparsa Ostadreza, a resident of Tehran, was arrested on Thursday, January 8, 2026, during a raid on his family home and transferred to Evin Prison. Sources report that agents searched the residence and confiscated his laptop as well as his brother’s. He was later moved from Evin Prison to an undisclosed location without prior notice and has been denied access to a lawyer.

Hossein Rahnama, known as “Himan,” a 33-year-old Lor from Dehdasht and father of an 11-year-old child, was arrested in Karaj on Thursday, January 8, 2026. He was subsequently transferred to Dehdasht Central Prison in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province and has remained in detention for over a month without a clear legal status.

Ahvaz

Hossein Zamanpour, 20, a boxing champion in Khuzestan Province and recipient of a kickboxing technique award, was arrested by agents of the Intelligence Organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps during the recent protests in Ahvaz on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Reports indicate that he is currently being held in Sheiban Prison in Ahvaz. Authorities have not disclosed any details regarding the charges against him or the status of his case, and his family has expressed concern about his conditions of detention.

Mashhad

Adel Houshmand, 40, was arrested in Mashhad on Monday, January 12, 2026, during a raid on his shop by Iranian government forces. He was transferred to Vakilabad Prison.

Mohammad Taheri Parsa, a shopkeeper from Sabzevar residing in Mashhad and father of two, was arrested on Thursday, January 1, 2026, during a raid on his workplace by security forces. He was taken to an undisclosed location.

Sources state that his arrest was linked to his attendance at the seventh-day memorial ceremony of Dr. Khosrow Alikurdi. Authorities have not disclosed his place of detention or any charges against him.
