The death sentence of a Turkish prisoner named Morteza Pashaei, a 34-year-old resident of Tabriz who had previously been sentenced to death on charges related to drug offenses, was carried out in Tabriz Central Prison.
According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in the early hours of Wednesday, November 27, 2024, the death sentence of Morteza Pashaei was carried out in Tabriz Central Prison.
This individual had been arrested on charges related to drug offenses and was subsequently sentenced to death by the judiciary of Islamic Republic of Iran. On Tuesday, November 26, he was transferred to solitary confinement in preparation for the execution of his sentence.
