Tovhid Abdollahi executed in Ardabil Central Prison

Iranian authorities executed Tovhid Abdollahi, a Turkish prisoner from Ardabil who had been sentenced to death on charges of “premeditated murder,” in Ardabil Central Prison.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Abdollahi, a father of two daughters, was executed in the early hours of Thursday, August 6, 2026, in Ardabil Central Prison.

Abdollahi had been arrested 11 years earlier on charges of “premeditated murder” and was subsequently sentenced to death by the Iranian judiciary.

Iranian state media, including judiciary-affiliated outlets, have not reported Abdollahi's execution.
