Execution of Reza Dahmordeh carried out in Zabol Prison

The death sentence of Reza Dahmordeh, a Baloch prisoner from Zabol who had been convicted of “premeditated murder”, was carried out at Taghzi Prison in Zabol.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the execution took place at dawn on Thursday, May 15, 2025. Reza Dahmordeh, 24, was a resident of Khak-Sefidi village in Hirmand County, located in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

He was arrested in 2022 on charges of premeditated murder and subsequently sentenced to death by the Criminal Court of Zabol County.

In the days preceding his execution, Reza Dahmordeh was transferred to solitary confinement—a standard procedure for inmates facing imminent execution. He met with his family for the last time on Wednesday, just hours before the sentence was carried out at dawn on Thursday.

Iranian state media and outlets affiliated with the judiciary have not announced or confirmed the execution.
