In the past eleven days, at least 25 Kurdish citizens, including five children, have been arrested or abducted by the Iranian government forces in Abdanan, Ilam province, during the recent protest in this city.

According to the report received by the Hengaw organization for human rights, on Thursday, November 17, 2022, Ramin Seidi and Ruhollah Rahimi were abducted by the Iranian government forces in Abdanan.

Within 24 hours on Friday, November 18, Yusuf Moradi and Ahmad Moradi were also abducted at a gas station in Abdanan, and on the evening of the same day, two brothers named Amin Farzi and Mohammad Farzi were taken to an unknown place after being arrested.

In continuation of the repression in Abdanan, on Saturday, November 19, government forces beat Ehsan Manshizadeh’s parents while kidnapping him, and since then, his 5- and 10-year-old children are in an unfavorable psychological state due to the intimidation and attack carried out by the Iranian government forces on their home.

17-year-old Sonia Sharifi, 16-year-old Amir Hossein Mousavi, as well as Mohammad Ghasemi, Ramin Salmani, Yaser Ansari, Abuzar Khalili, and Pouria Mohammadzadeh were the other citizens abducted on the same day.

It has been reported that Sonia Sharifi was transferred to the women's ward of Ilam Central Prison and is in a poor mental state.

Also, on Saturday, November 19, Amirreza Mousavi, Amir Hossein's brother, Milad Ansari, Mossadegh Beigi, Mehdi Shahmoradi, and Mohammad Khalili were abducted by the Iranian government forces.

The city of Abdanan was again the target of an attack and intimidation by the Iranian government forces on Friday, November 25, 2022, and a citizen named Amir Mohammad Begpour was arrested.

Also, 18-year-old Ashkan Ahmadi was abducted by Iranian government forces on the night of November 27.

In the latest cases, on Monday, November 28, in addition to Alireza Hosseini and Sina Haqir, two 17-year-old children named Mohammad Mehdi Mohammadi and Mehdi Joshan were also arrested by the Iranian government forces.

In the majority of cases, these citizens have been arrested in the early morning after being subjected to assault and intimidation in their homes and threatening family members.
