The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps began its missile and drone strike on the headquarters and civilian camps of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan and the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2022, local time in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan's headquarters and civilian camps were struck by the IRGC with five ballistic missile strikes in Koy Sanjaq, 200 kilometers within the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
One individual lost his life and eight others sustained injuries as a result of these attacks, according to the KRI's Ministry of Health. According to Hengaw sources, during these attacks, two Peshmerga, 45-year-old Rebwar Abdi from Saqqez and Aso Tawana from Bukan, died, and at least ten other persons were injured, two of whom were transported to hospitals in Erbil for surgery. Additionally, a Koy Sanjaq resident passed away from a cardiac attack.
On the other hand, 6 suicide drones, 4 of which detonated, have been attacking the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan's headquarters since 9:30 this morning. Members of the Komala Party report that no lives were lost in these attacks; only property was damaged.
The IRGC artillery stationed in the cities of Oshnovieh and Piranshahr simultaneously shelled the bases of these two parties on the border heights of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The number of casualties from these attacks is unknown.
