According to a source close to the family, a chemical attack took place in a school in Tehran on March 15, 2023, resulting in the hospitalization of Karo Pashabadi, a 16-year-old Kurdish student from the village of Pashaweh in Kamiyaran, Kurdistan province.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, after three weeks of treatment, Karo Pashabadi passed away on April 7, 2023, at Milad Hospital in Tehran.
The burial of Karo Pashabadi took place on April 8, 2023, in his hometown, and a funeral ceremony is scheduled for April 9, 2023.
It is worth noting that this is one of the many cases of chemical attacks on schools that have been occurring in Iran for the past five months. Over 5000 students have been affected and taken to medical centers due to these attacks, which began in Qom and have since spread throughout the country.
