Seven Kurdish men arrested in Mahabad by security forces

Seven Kurdish residents of Mahabad have been arrested by security forces and transferred to undisclosed locations.
They have been identified as Keywan Mama Guli, Omid Rash, As’ad Rasoulzadeh, Nouraddin Dudkanlu Milan, Soroush Youssefzadeh, Mehran Khedripour, and Pouria Nasiri — a law student at Islamic Azad University of Mahabad.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights,
on Saturday, June 21, Omid Rash, As’ad Rasoulzadeh, and Nouraddin Dudkanlu, all from the village of Kusa Kariz near Mahabad, were arrested without arrest warrants.

Earlier, on Thursday, June 19, Keywan Mama Guli from Gug Tappeh village, along with Soroush Youssefzadeh, Mehran Khedripour, and Pouria Nasiri, were detained in similar circumstances.

During the raid on Youssefzadeh’s home, agents confiscated personal belongings, including the mobile phones of his father and brother.

The arrests, which were carried out in the early morning hours, were accompanied by intimidation tactics and lacked official warrants.

No charges have been announced, and the whereabouts of the detainees remain unknown.
