The death sentences of two Kurdish prisoners from Salmas, named Abdullah Khanummohammadi and Salahaddin Majidi (Dodkanlu), who were previously sentenced to death for drug-related crimes, were executed in the city's central prison.
According to a report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Saturday, May 6, 2023, the death sentences of two prisoners from Salmas named Abdullah Khanummohammadi and Salahaddin Majidi were executed in the central prison of Salmas.
These two prisoners were transferred to the solitary cell of Salmas prison to execute the death sentence last Thursday.
Abdullah Khanummohammadi and Salahaddin Majidi, both from the village of "Haftuan" in Salmas district, were arrested three years ago and sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran on charges of drug-related crimes.
It should be mentioned that Kamil Majidi Dodkanlu, Salahaddin Majidi's father, was executed on Thursday, January 19, 2023, for the same charge in Salmas Central Prison.
The news of the execution of these two prisoners has not been announced in the government media, especially in the media related to the judicial system of the Islamic Republic, until the time of writing this news.
