The death sentence of a Baloch female prisoner named Afsaneh Shahiki, who was previously sentenced to death for premeditated murder, was executed in the central prison of Kerman.
According to the report received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, at dawn on Sunday, July 2nd, 2023, the death sentence of a Baloch female prisoner named Afsaneh Shahiki, 50, was executed in the central prison of Kerman.
Afshaneh Shahiki was arrested eight years ago in Bam City and later sentenced to death by the judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the charge of murdering her husband with a gun.
As of the time of this reporting, the news of the execution of this prisoner has not been announced in the government media, especially the media affiliated with the judiciary.
Based on the statistics registered in the Statistics and Documents Center of the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, in June 2023, at least 52 prisoners were executed in Iranian prisons, of whom 14 were Baloch prisoners.
